Hey guys I've have a very short trip as I have to get to Thailand, please help with an intenerary. Any suggestions welcome....
I've only got one week in indonesia (wish i had more time, but i don't) I start in bali (don't want to spend much time there) and want to make my way to singapore, or in that direction and then fly to singapore for a couple of days. Then I have about 5/6 days in Malaysia (once again I know its not much time) I"d like to see as many of the "must sees" as I can, including some beach time, and hiking. Any suggestions? Theres too much to chose from!
i can't help you on Indonesia but with 5-6 days in Malaysia I would spend 2 days in KL and 3-4 in Taman Negara national park. there are some good treks in the park and some great scenery.
I messed up here!! Apologies guys..

I wouldn't miss the Gili Islands - just off the NW coast of Lombok (island east of Bali) - the beaches are nicer than Bali and some of the most stunning beaches I've ever seen (take a look at my photos!!). Gili Trawangan is great to party, also. There are no cars/bikes on the islands, just horse and carts, so it's really peaceful. I kinda got stuck on the Gilis for a week!!! I loved it!
Peninsular Malaysia is quite dry I found - my least favourite place in SE Asia. And Singapore...unless you've got a huge budget it's not much fun for more than a day. KL is worth a few days though, and I really liked the Cameron Highlands for chill factor and hiking, so much so, I went back as I was bored with the rest!! If you need recommendations on places to stay, I can recommend for KL, Singapore & Cameron Highlands.
