I'm still in China... I went to the Chungking mansion and I didn;t know it was like shopping in some night market. I thought room rates are like printed on some flyer or wall. It was apparently a bargaining thing. I really hate that exercise. I got my room for 150 HONG KONG dollars. actually, I got the a room for 210 dollars and break it down with a Japanese tourist who cant get anything cheaper.
In Shenzhen, I had no choice but to take the advice of the tourism info office and so I ended up in hostel, which they say is going to cost me, 178 RMB per night. I was too exhausted and scared of the crowd in the train station, that even 500 yuan can sound cheap. My hostel turns out to be 60 yuan with breakfast. I missed the breakfast though.
The hostel is so posh and Im a big fan of minimalist interior designs, so I doubt if this is cheap. JUST HOW MUCH IS CHEAP... I FORGOT TO ASK.
I learned here that Guilin and Yangshou have cheap accomodations... But then again, I need figures.
