Try this 1, Hotel 88. quite a reputable budget hotel.

Another budget hotel is Fragrance Hotel.

If possible, try to choose a hotel near a MRT (train) station so it is easier to get around.

The Beach Hotel along Beach Road is pretty cheap, so is Fort Canning Lodge. Fort Canning is proximate to Orchard Road, one of the best shopping places in Singapore.

i stayed at Hotel Supreme at the orchard road. It was decently priced at 100 singapore dollars, considering the posh location. I stayed in July for 4 nights. The important MRT station of Dhoby Ghaut was located nearby. Dhoby Ghaut is an important interchange junction where East-west and North-south MRT lines meet, so practically u can go everywhere in Singapore.

I would suggest u the following for 3 days

Day1: Full day in Sentosa Island, its really worth it
Day2: Visit the Zoo, Jurong bird park, evening take the night safari
Day3: Visit the Esplanade area, city hall, fullerton hotel area, Marina bay , Merlion park

Hope this helps, do let me know if u need more info

Have a nice trip

Hi Katem,
We were in Singapore in August 2007 and stayed for 6 nights at a very nice clean bed and breakfast called 1BnBSingapore, run by Jennifer. It's a much nicer option than a hotel because it's just like staying in someone's apartment. We paid SGD55 for a double room without breakfast.
Here's the website:
What you can do during your 3 days depends a lot on what you like doing. If you like seeing the different cultures, then I'd recommend a visit to Chinatown and Little India. If you like trendy areas, then try Boat Quay, Clarke Quay and Orchard Road. If you're with kids, then you should do the zoo and the bird park.
