Hi all,

I've never been to Greece and am planning to take ferries from Crete to Santorini to Mykonos to Athens in early September. Should I try to reserve and buy tickets online now or will seats be available when I arrive in September?

Many thanks!

Hi there,

September is usually 'low' season, so you shouldn't have any availability problems, unless you plan on travelling around weekends when you will probably be needing a reservation at least 3-4 days before.

hi,

In juli I was on the west side of Greece, visiting Zykanthos, Pathras and Corfu. There were tickets everytime for the boat of that day. In august, they have holiday in Italy, it can be crowded then. And Crete is the most popular Island, I think. But in september, you shouldn't have any problem. If you can, go to the ticket office one day in advance.

Have fun!
greetings
Ger.

hi

I took the ferry from Brindisi to Patras greece and had no problem to get a ticket a day before departure. Only in high season tickets might be not always available.
