Do the hostels acept credit card?

Some hostels might take a credit card, some might not! My preference is to use a debit card to obtain cash from an ATM and use that cash to pay for cheap things like a night in a hostel!

Some credit cards have high fees for using CREDIT cards overseas. Check with your bank to see how much your fees will be per use.

I avoid using credit or debit cards in any restaurants or stores when I am not in my own country, I think there is too much chance of credit card fraud that you won't discover until you arrive back home!

My debit card is from a credit union which pays the first 5 of my ATM charges when I am overseas. I take out the maximum amount of cash I can from an ATM. When I fly home I can convert any leftover local currency to my home currency at the airport.

(No interest with a debit card, lots of interest on credit cards!)

Good luck.
