Ahem, Ladies...if you would be so kind as to assist me in loading Mr. Lagered into the cannon........

...muffled sounds of whining coming from a burlap sack......stuffing sounds........a match is produced..........the fuse is lit..........bang, a tremendously not-so-loud popping sound is heard on the cheerleading pitch.......

Nice shot there Tweeny, right into that pile of Jase's lost floozies.....I'm not sure anyone's coming out of that one without a bruise or two. It appears that his cape has been slightly singed by the heat, and he has makeup smears on his lapel........MEL, NEW UNIFORM FOR LAGERED, PERHAPS THE FUSCHIA ONE!!!!!

Thanks! I missed the first shot and lobbed mikeyboab into the oompah band, but doctors say he'll recover nicely from the trombone extraction.

Now, team, I know we really want to win the state/province/territory/annexed-country championships, but I'm afraid drinking sangria through holes in mikey's surgical gloves just won't do. Please line up...yes...no,no, one line, yes...OK, try not to wobble too much, lagered, I know the canon gets you dizzy...OK...er - maybe you should wear the speedo under the skirt next time, beerman...alright, here we go.... altogether...

We must!
We must!
We must increase our bust!
The bigger the better
the tighter the sweater
we must increase our bust!

Managers aren't required to wear cheerleading outfits so it's a non-issue. I prefer sundresses and look magnificent in those too. Basically, I look good in everything!

And nothing....according to Jase.

* Note to Isa - you should close the shower curtain whilst Jase is a guest *

Im sorry T - but on medical grounds l cannot join in with that chant - my back cannot bear much more weight!! Could l maybe take the role of team mascot? Or if G gets tired from whipping l can surely step in - my pirate CV shows the experience l have!

.......Eleniki, misinterpreting an old showtune for a cheer, gave it a mighty try, but now must return to school to study up on North American Cheering 101 and make cookies (sorry, that one was mine....I like cookies).

It's not fair... *stamps foot already adorned with cheerleading shoe* - we do sing that awful olay song here at footy matches! *pouts* Doesn't that make it a cheery song?? I never heard of the old showtune, even though I am old. (where's the 'old' emoticon?) Why do I have to make the cookies???? Does that mean I'm not on the squad?? If you make me bake, I'll sneak commas in the mixture - you'll be sorry when you're turning blue and have to have the hindlick manoover over a well-disguised cookie comma stuck in your throat!!

anyway, it's Tway who gets to say, isn't it Tway?

If there are cookies involved, Eleniki, I'm afraid you'll have to get to work. However, if you can manage to cheer, sing and beat an egg at all the same time, by all means come out on the field. We're just about to start a rousing rendition of "Shake, shake, shake your Booty", although a few squad members appear to be a tad confused when it comes to figuring out which bits need to be shooken...

Hey, c'mon, don't pout....it's only a 5-minute class this North American Cheering 101 and you have to say "eh" after most phrases (it's a Canadian thing - although "Tabernacle" works well too)....I'll help with the cookies and we'll get them done in a jiff. You grab the almonds, I'll get the chocolate chips. Leave the commas for the cakes and tarts...less likely to get stuck in the throat that way.

Where did you get the cheerleading shoes???
