Hi
I've been hearing different things so could someone please tell me how hard it is to get a working for perhaps the UK or a nanny position in the USA while in Canada on a working visa. Are there any countries that make it easier? I'm trying to figure out whether I will need to come back to Australia at the end of my working holiday in Canada just to get a visa for another country and head back again.
I've heard that you have to send your passport back to Australia to apply and that it can take up to two months which is no good especially if moving around Canada/USA.
I also heard you can apply for a UK visa in NewYork, is this true?
Please help as this will effect my thinking and plans.
Thanks Beth

I've been told that to apply for a UK working visa whilst in Canada, you have to go to the consulate in Ottowa. Just another place i'll have to visit.

My travel agent said that it is possible to get the UK visa overseas but risky if rejected and then when you try to enter, say you have a stopover in London like I do, they are suspicious that you might try and work illegally cos they know you tried to get a visa.
She said that the Irish work visa is easier to get when in US than the UK. Will suss it out when there I guess.
