4-5 day trip to Europe (Done Italy, Portugal)

Travel Forums Europe 4-5 day trip to Europe (Done Italy, Portugal)

I'm doing a spontaneous trip literally booking tonight/tomorrow and essentially going to wave the finger and where it lands, is where I go. However, I do want to maximize my time and obviously wanted to see if anyone here know any good suggestions in EUROPE for a 5 day trip.

Waving the finger and having it land in Italy...well, 5 days is a worthy trip but better left (in my opinion) when you can dedicate a couple more weeks (from experience and that was only northern Italy, not covering everything).

Any immediate suggestions is helpful!

Oh one more thing, this came up actually finding a good deal to Paris, although I do want to go to Provence. Is that a worthy 5 day trip? Don't get me wrong, they are all worthy any amount of days but I want to see what 5 days can get me to maximize experience.

Thanks in advance

Hey there,

Well i have just left Portugal after being there for 6 weeks, it was somewhere i never thought to go and i had an absolute blast. If you are after a party town with the beach close by i would suggest you go to Lagos, had a blast and met soooooo many fun ppl to go out with. Check out Hi hostels also as that was a great place to stay and if they are full there is a lovely Pensao right across the street that i stayed at also.

Lisbon was magical also and if you go there make sure you go to the "Fado" it is brilliant.

Anyway, have a great trip!!!

AM.

I was actually there for 1 week. Well Lisbon, Sintra, Albufeiri, Evora, and Sesimbra. All were spur of the moment and amazingly enough from a subscription I receive monthy with National Geographic Travel, those cities were mentioned as one of the rated cities to visit. It worked out well for us considering we didn't plan this to the exact minute/day.
