I'm just about to head off on a four week trip through Thailand, Laos and Cambodia with my boyfriend.
The last five days of our holidays we are looking to lie on a beach somewhere beautiful! I've always wanted to go to Krabi cause the scenery is so amazing, but I'm a little concerned that it's extremely touristy. Trang seems like a good option, but I'm not sure that it's so picturesque.
Koh Phangan and Koh Samui are obviously good for beach stays, but I'm not sure that the scenery is so wonderful, or that there's that much to do.
I'd be grateful for any advice on the best possible place to get a beach bungalow and relax for a few days. Spectacular scenery is a must!! Good food and not too expensive. We'd be looking at about 600 baht a night for accommodation.
All suggestions greatly appreciated!!

Krabi is for sure a lot more beautiful than Samui.
I had a blast on Koh Phi Phi last month. It is a small island but very charming. Amazing sunsets and fun bars to go hang out at and relax after laying on the beach all day. It's not to hard to get away from the crowds on Phi Phi. I even rented a boat to take me away to another beach away from everyone for a couple days. The nightlife is vibrant with fireshows and dancing too. I found it a great balance of relaxation and fun. Send me a message if you would like more details and enjoy your travels.
