England may have got lucky four years ago, but they were a good team too! That's what gave them a chance to get lucky.

This year they're not though. I don't think they are relying on Wilkinson that much, it's widely acknowledged that he won't be able to have the impact he did at the last world cup where he was at the top of his form and fitness. I just don't think they have the quality throughout the squad.

Back in the good old days when Martin Johnston was leading the team - England had a world cup winning team - now they are in a lull l suppose.

Feeling a bit sorry for the Italians though - the All Blacks are walking all over them!!

Anyone got tickets?

Aye. Wales v Japan, Scotland v NZ, the QF in Caerdydd and a Semi.

Great news from the Aussies. Carter looked oddly dodgy for the Kiwis, The Italians were dissapointing, Vickery is a cheating scumbag and sadly, looks like them Ingerlanders will eventually canter against the Merikans.

Anybody fancy the odd refreshment and game watching? Jase, you still around London?

As Jase's temporary personal secretary (yeah - right), I must inform you that Mr. 007 will not be back in London until Wednesday (UK time) as he doesn't leave Isa Manor (Middle-of-Nowhere-USA) until Tuesday evening (US time). He also grabbed the wrong mobile when leaving home so he is unavailable for comment via SMS. You can reach him via the tincan and string service.

Over-focus on England? :)

Heh, yeah. At least for me, rugby and football-wise. I've been reading too much about Wilkinson and how England are in a shambles and all that. And football... ugh. Don't get me started.

Well, normal service has resumed after France's shocker, since the Wallabies and All Blacks both won.

Ireland v Namibia... Heather, what's your prediction of the score? (notice I didn't ask whether you think they'd win ;))

LOL, well 32-17 is a decent score, but I read the BBC report that Ireland didn't play too well?

The Springboks-Samoa game was good! I enjoyed it, Samoa gave it all they could, but the Boks got much better in the second half.

My goodness, what a weekend that was!

Scotland were excellent, Wales were excellent (eventually), England were awful .

Did anyone else notice that the Namibian team were very, how should I say, un-tanned?
