The best team won and it was a good match! Fair play to England!!

Highlight of the game - Percy Montgomery taking the camera man out!!!!!

A good match? were you watch a different game?
No try's, both teams weren't running onto the ball, loads of handling errors.
The only 'good' thing was the defense & goal kicks apart from the camera incident (which was funny)

Yep, the best team won - throughout the tournament though, not the match necessarily. England got a taste of their own medicine tonight, South Africa were tactically excellent as they have been throughout.

How ironic! England beaten by a team that kicked more penalty goals than they did!

I withdraw my previous remark. I don't think this game did much to advance Rugby as a spectacle.

Please, please, IRB. Drop the three point penalty!! Do something to encourage teams to score trys. William Webb Ellis is spinning in his grave.

No complaints from me. Best team won on the night, and the best team of the whole tournament won.

Strangely, i don't feel disappointed at all. England had the rub of the green in the last couple of games, didn't go there way tonight - that's sport for you. SA were still the better team.

I disagree - England tactically played a very good game - where was Habana, Du Preez, Pietersen and Burger - they were touted as the guys who could destroy England. England gave away 2 silly penalties for SA first 6 points, didn't give SA a sniff of the try line. Basically both teams snuffed each other out, and it came down to who got most penalties within kicking distance.

I don't think it will be a game that will have won new rugby fans. Maybe the world cup is gaining in prestige, therefore teams are playing more cautiously as they are scared to lose.
