Yeah, England were dire. If we play like that against Samoa we deserve to lose, it was painful to watch. The Springboks played well, but it was frightening how easily they stopped England from scoring at all.

Okay, so what happened to Ireland? 14-10 against Georgia? I was expecting a more... creditable stuffing.

I was out last night therefore l only saw snatches of the game against Georgia - though l had a lovely commentary from a certain New Zealander via text message who was only to kind to advise that the Irish were way lucky!!

I cant disagree - they are scrapping through - along with a little bit of luck. I think the game against France on Fri will be the decider - if they cant pull their game together against teams that they supposedly have higher world ranking then they may as well pack up and head home.

Friday could be messy for us (but surely it cant be as embarassing as the English/Saffa game!!!) - still lm off to see Ulster play Ospreys on Fri night and then they are putting on the Ireland/French game on big screen for the fans to watch, so no matter what that should be a bit of craic!

I still stand by the NZ/Aussie/Saffa's for the finals, although the Saffa's are starting to look a bit too good for my liking.
I was impressed with the Portugal team, the score didn't reflect the game. Georgia is another side that has impressed, these countries have come out of the dark ages with teams credible and almost on par with the likes of Wales, Italy & Scotland. It's time that the 'big' nations give them some credit and do a tour to boost the game.

NZ for the final, but against who?????

Georgia have been impressive, I agree. I was really surprised by how much they pushed the Irish (who I suppose had an "off day"). As for the Boks... well, they need to tighten up some aspects of their game - I felt they lost concentration a bit in the later stages against England, but no harm done - and they'll do okay.

Think France are back in contention after thrashing Namibia?

You can never write off the French, never consistent, but have this tendency to have flashes of brilliance every now and again. Would I bet on them to lift the cup? - no, nut depending on the odds i might put a side wager on them ;)

GO THE ALL BLACKS

I dont think France will make semis,Argentina are a good side but my bet goes on of course All Blacks to win but wouldnt surprise with a pacific Island team to come through to the finals like Samoa or Fiji.

Wahey! Scotland are now in the world's top ten ranked teams! We haven't been able to say that for a while.
