$80/€60 is way more than what I earn in a day in Malaysia! And you're talking about Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia where the cost of living is lower than Malaysia.

You could even get through with about that much for the both of you if you stretch it out a bit on some days! But then, it depends pretty much on where you stay, as accommodation prices varies by type (hostels or hotels). I think even at $50/€40 you can get by very comfortably. :)

You will do fine easily on much less than half that amount in Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam even in high season- most nice accomodations in guesthouses will be between $5-$10. You will certainly be able to live well, eat and drink well and arrange whatever day trips you want-
Have fun!

If u have that much to spend, u will be rich in SE Asia. 30 Euros per day or less each will likely be more then enough, unless u have very expensive tastes.
Since u seem to not be short of money, why not invest in a copy of SE Asia on a Shoestring, by Lonely Planet.
It will give u information about all kinds of things, including recommended budgets.
It costs around 26 Euros and is available in most book shops, around the world.
