Hello!
My friend and i have just arrived in Bangkok- and true to form we have not made any decisions on what to do! We would be very grateful if anyone can give adivce.
We would like to do some diving but realise that our timing is not great. Can anyone suggest anywhere to dive given the season?
We would very much like to relax on the beach but don't want to go anywhere to touristy.
We only have two weeks- what do we HAVE to see?
Thanks
Sarah

Hi Sarah
If you are heading North, trekking is always an option. Whitewater Rafting is also at it's best on the Northern rivers just now.
Check out http://www.chiangdao.com for more stuff on the North than you can shake a stick at.
cheers
Stuart

Hi Sarah,
The Bridge over the River Kwai is about 2 hours away by coach, at Kanchanaburi. I went for a few days - you can do elephant safaris and treks around that area. But you could do it in a day if you want to and the buses are cheap.

Hi Sarah,

Bangkok, it's the main city of Thai, and it's totally different frm Pattaya (beaches). It takes about 2-3 hours drive all the way frm Pattaya.

Went for a round city trip, seeing the lifestyle of theirs. A crowded city with friendly people that greets you whenever you stop by, "Sa wa di ka" frm the ladies and "Sa wa di karp" frm the gents.

Went to a Bazaar that fits almost thousands of stall selling all kind of stuffs with very cheap deal.

The Floating River Market, Chao Praya River, the magnificient view of The Royal Resident, Grand Palace, & do remember to wear a proper attire before you're allow to enter!

Thai Food is also a must, trying all type of local spicy foods really make you sweat, and the heat during noon that reaches 38 Celcius add on the spice in to your nerves!

Finally, enjoying every single night life there, especially pubs, bistro, and clubs was fun, that's Amazing Thailand. Thus it ain't expensive at all. Cheers!

Cheers,
Nick

Btw, was in Pattaya for a sightseeing. Found out that this place are quite ok in term of getting around and enjoying the friendly people. Pubs and Cafes are bunches in this area. Thumbs up if you really enjoy drinking and their fav. dishes, Tom Yam.

Took a short tour to one of the nearby island, and enjoy the sunny beach with white sand. For guys, there're a lot of pretty girls there, enjoying their sunbathing. It's only meant for relaxation.

Cheers,
Nick
