Me and my girlfriend are going to travel around the east coast of australia....now i know there is a good bus service that runs down this coast .....but dont think that we would enjoy it that much havin to stick to departure times and hot and sweatie busses not having the freedom we would like with a car.....
So we would really like to know if anyone has done this if so how did it go ....what car did u get .....was it easy to get insured on it ......and did it work out to be cheap on fuel and the best thing to do....
thanks for any reply
Definately get a car. There is so much to see "outside" the bus routes and as you said the freedom. We bought oldish Ford Falcon and had a few troubles as drove all the way around Aussie land, through Nullarbor three times... But never left us stranded. Cars are cheaper than in for example in Europe and petrol too, but distances are massive.
Still highly recommended, loved my WH year. (little tip much cheaper to insure your car in WA than elsewhere)
Hi! Of course, it's easy and simple as a day - you have to have a car! Would you like to buy our car? Our trip around Australia is over soon. We will be back on east coast by the beginning of October (in Sydney for a wedding on the 8th of October).
