hi! it's my first time here and from my observation, i'm gonna get a lot of help in here.

me and my american friend are planning on traveling round asia from 28 jan next year to 29 feb. i enjoy looking for budget airlines and trains and comparing them. im now able to complete the first part of our trip. im planning on starting in HK to singapore to indonesia to malaysia then to bangkok. i was able to plan properly and stay within our budget.

but for the 2nd part of our trip, we still wanna see cambodia, vietnam, laos and definitely, taj mahal in india.

i was able to connect bangkok to cambodia to vietnam but i got stuck there. i have no idea how to go to india and what the cheapest means of travel there and from where.

can you guys help me? i really appreciate it!

just give me some advice on where to fly from and the cheapest airlines that fly to india.

hello,

Im a bit confused about your dates you said you want to go late jan and come back late feb? and see all those countries? i'm off to SEA in 3 weeks planning my route now but i have 3 months just in SEA and don't think i have time. whats you schedule like?

Hi

I agree with the previous post - I am leaving in 3 weeks to visit Malaysia(only 2 days) thailand, laos, vietnam & cambodia. I have 3 months and will still have to squeeze in some places. Are you limited to a budget or can you afford to fly everywere? Are you planning on visiting north & south thailand or just bangkok?

A little more info might make it easier for people to help.

i see what you guys mean.

uhm, we didnt spend too much time on the 1st phase of the trip coz we've been to those countries before and just off to visit some ofour fave places and some friends. but the latter part, i haveno idea. maybe i can ask for some basic stuff to see in those countries coz we really do have limited time coz he needs to go back to school.

we're really amateurs at this so we're prob kust looking forward to visiting the basic places,

i still wanna see taj mahal though and im still stuck coz i dont know how to get in there from any of these countries here

thanks guys

hi there sounds like you need a plan really, if you only have 1 month then you won't be able to see all the things on your list, i say won't but you be on a plane all the time and have a pretty naff trip. as a very rough guide if you wish to see cambodia, vietnam and loas theres over a month just there and thats rushing it. adding on singapore, HK, seems a bit strange unless you are flying in or out of either of them. you could for example fly into bangkok travel through cambodia, vietnam, southwest china and end up in HK but again will take a month or more to do that.

If taj mahal in india is a big priority then i really would consider just an india trip (its a pretty big place) with maybe a stop off in HK?

A freind of mine has just returned he did india - goa - bangkok - cambodia - vietnam - hk and took 4 months and on the move the whole time.

i would sit down and plan what you want to see dont cram in too much as you be travelling too much and will ruin a good trip.
