Yer I have done it before and let me tell you its cheeper to pay the 'excess baggage" at the airport than send it and it will get there at the same time as you! You can save money by sending by sea and it's very cheep but can take upto 3 months to get to you!

Hi There;

My Family sends also goods from Nepal, yes it is no Thailand.
But they use Aramex, maybe they have an agent there too.
It is nearly as quick as their expensive brothers but cheaper.

good luck,
Frank.

Hi
I priced sending stuff to Ireland and it seemed quite expensive, even using the slowest version. I think it was something like 900 baht for the first kilo and then 175 baht for every kilo after that, but I am not sure as I was given different prices in different places. Basically, the more you send the cheaper it works out per kilo. Your best bet is to go directly to a post office and not one of those places that offer postal services,as they add on costs: eg for a 15 baht stamp they wanted to charge me 18baht.
Hope that helps.

Hi Paul

Do you have any idea what the charge for excess baggage is? Is there any chance the airline will stop you bringing the extra bag? I thought this was at their discretion -

One last thing, - do you know how much it cost in the end to send your bag home?

Thanks

Clare
