Has anybody ever stayed in Rabuttri Village on Soi Rambutri? I have been looking at reviews and there are some really good and some awful reviews.

Heading to bangkok in 2 weeks & am thinking of booking the first night or two somewere untill settled

Any help would be great!

I was in bkk last week and my brother stayed there. I saw his room and i think it was a little over priced for what he got. The first room he was given was filthy aswell and he had to change. He also said the staff were very rude so i guess i wouldnt recommend it. That being said there does always seem to be a lot of ppl staying there. I probably wouldnt bother booking in advance either as there are plenty of places to stay in that area and it might be better to keep your options open!!

I stayed in the Soi rambuttri but not that particular place. i really liked the area so I would recommend just having a wander around when you get there and choosing somewhere you like the look of. I stayed in 2 places - both of which were fine - 'Bella Bella' and 'My House'.

Yeah, Soi Rambuttri is a nice area close to Kao San an the river (you can travel around BKK by boat) with a lot of hostels around.

I agree with the others in that Rambutri street is a great place to stay. There is no need to book accomidation, just go and check out a few different places and pick the best one. It:ll only take 15 minutes to check out about 5. LIke Bex77 I've also stayed at Bella Bella and My House, as well as a few others. They are all the same - cheap, basic, but clean. I tend to stay at Bella Bella out of habit, but just pick the one that seems like the best deal.
