Does anybody else feel like the 'Western World' is slowly gearing up to go to war in Iran?

Cheney seems to get more and more bullish about it, and Sarkozy even hinted it might be a possibility today. I doubt that Brown would do anything other than toady along like Blair did into Iraq.

I really hope not, but I'm getting a bad feeling about it.

Now this could be all hear-say but I have read reports that a nuclear armed cruise missile went missing earlier this month in the United States. Six, armed nuclear weapons were loaded onto war plans for transportation from one base to another; this has not been done since 1968.

The theory is (how ever crack-pot it may sound) that the current U.S. government will orchestrate a false-flag operation using the nuclear weapon on it's own soil. Preferably on a high profile target. This would give open reigns to any leader after this administration for open warfare against anyone it wants.

I dont feel like the Western world is actually gearing towards a war with Iran.
I do however feel that things are getting out of hand both in the West and in Asia/Middle East, and this eventually may lead to a world war. I think it is very important that we contribute to anti war feelings in society, by educating ourselves about what is actually going on, and not just listening to popular media. We must not allow our minds to be manipulated.
I get the feeling here in Germany, that there is very strong anti war feeling in society.
The world wars really did show them how illogical and harmful war is.

Why dont these goverment nobheads stop blamming everyone else and take a look at themselves in the mirror and say" isnt life good im going to help as many people today as i can with the power I hold"

It's because the leaders of the West are really satanists in disguise, are members of satanist cults (Skull and Bones, Bohemian Club) masquerading as Christians, and they want to start the apocalypse.

Well, we are responsible for the fact that they are in power, here in the West. We vote for them.
That is why we have to put as much anti war influence in society as we can, which is why discussions like this are a good thing in my opinion(well so long as people behave themselves while discussing, that is). If most of the people are against war, then the government has to oblige.

The problem is we don't actually vote for the ones in power - we live in oligarchy's. If people think that there is a difference between the candidates they are delusional. The real power lyes with the corporations and lobby groups and for both war is profitable, war is good.

If we keep insisting that the governments in the West stop pandering to corporations and keep pointing out the ways in which corporations dont consider human rights, when they are making trading decisions.....
And insist that governments make legislation to prevent unethical trading by corporations...
Those corporations can make enough money, without unethical trading. Unless they are not so greedy, that they think there is no such thing as enough money that is.
Western countries are the big spenders afterall. Those corporations will value that spending power, over the lesser spending power of third world countries. The governments of Western countries can put conditions on their buying and the perks they allow corporations to have.
Also, I think all arms producing corporations should be banned in places like Europe and other Western countries. Countries like Iran dont have the technology to create sophisticated enough weapons to create a third world war. Many other third world countries dont either, but our countries are willing to sell them whatever weapons they can afford, despite what they could do with them.

I have two thoughts on this:

1 = every super power needs an enemy, for without an enemy there is no need for a super power. This has been demonstrated time and again throughout history & is still very relevant today.

2 = as religion becomes more apparent in the policies of both the US & UK Goverment's (under Bush & Blair respectively) the tendency to goto war under it's banner increases. Blair said in addressing the NATO leaders in 1997 (just after being elected) "this is the first generation that will never have to goto war" (or something along those lines) and within his first year he took the UK into war (he's went to war more often than Maggie and she's supposed to be a war monger). These leaders have used their faith to 'cleanse' their book and actually declared war for other reasons (oil). If this trend continues (and the faiths are now a big part in who gets elected in the US and many other countries) more of these actions can be expected.

The idea of going bezerk at a country just because it doesn't agree with your religion is crazy. if you don't like the culture of where you have traveled to (or intend to) easy DON'T GO THERE - this is to all the bigots, governments, terrorists. If the regime is that bad, don't support it but it is up to the people of that nation to do something about it - people power works.

Rant over, but it's a can of worms this thread, oh please take the stand - Jase jumps of the stool and takes a long swig of a cold refreshing Guinness
