Anyway Brendan the point is, that with the current political state in the world, it is very important that Iran do not manage to produce Nuclear weapons.
If they attack Isreal, NATO will protect Isreal. Then because of the religious aspect of the current world tension, the Islamic countries will likely be up in arms, against NATO. There will be world war involving enough weapons, to wipe out the entire world. And Iran are showing every sign that they intend to attack Isreal, if they possibly can.

I noticed you put "IF THEY ATTACK ISREAL" (or is it Israel ) - doesn't matter, but if is a tiny word with the largest amount of outcomes.
If China, if Nth Korea, If France (no, ok that would be pushing it a bit), if India, If Canada or any other nation. Why should western governments dictate to others what they can and cannot do?
We have a lovely fluffy stuffed teddy bear, but your not allowed one

If Iran want to develop power stations fueled by nuclear reactors, it should be their right to (they are the ones doing the development with the aid of a couple of other countries) there are plenty of other countries that use nuclear power.(Personally i'd rather see a more sustainable, clean type of power station)

You may not like it or support it for many reasons e.g. environmental, costings, etc but to protest against it on the basis that they 'might' use it to develop weapons compares to pilots and planes. They may just ram them into a building, this does not mean they will, but the potential is there - do we protest when every pilot from a country you don't agree with the politics?

Well, if China or France or whoever were threatening to attack a country which would involve pulling NATO into war, it would also be taken seriously by all NATO member countries. Especially if this threat was complicated by other issues, such as the situation with Iran is. ie. if there is a threat of world war it is very very serious and should be taken seriouly by all of us. If Iran develops nuclear weapons, and the US attack Iran, before Iran has a chance to attack Israel, then the current world tension will be prolonged.

I did not say that Iran should not develop nuclear power. At least I would not object to it, more than I would object to any other country doing it. I said, that they must not develop nuclear weapons. That is why the reports that they possibly may be doing it are serious. It simply must not happen.

This is not simply a childcare like issue, about who is grown up enough to be allowed to have more priviledges than who or if she has it I should have it too. If this situation in the world is not difused, there may be a world war.

The issue about the environment and other issues concerning Iran and other countries are important too, but they are separate to the world war 3 threat issue.

This is all bullshit. The real question is this.

Who would you rather have nuclear weapons; the US or Iran?

Neither. I would like peace on earth and fluffy bunnies.

You swore. I'm telling.

I think Iran should not produce nuclear weapons, for reasons stated in previous posts.
Also, something needs to be done, about the US.
I think the US should cool their heals and do nothing, if they are not certain something is happening.
They should not attack any more countries, without the agreement of Europe.
