Congrats Maria!!

I just passed 1000 myself a few weeks back. It changes your life completely. Now, I can walk upright, with a sense of pride and accomplishment.............really confident in the fact that I have contributed a small piece of my self to Travellerspoint and the internet community at large. People actually stop me on the street to let me know how they wish they could have 1000 posts.

I hope one day to reach 1500. It shall be the proudest moment of my life....

Hi Maia,Herzlichen Glueckwunsch(congratulation)

I think you are the first and only one german TP member who made it to the 1000
posts,so go for the next:)
I'm faaaar away from it,but I'm busy with looking at all the Photos here on TP and reading the new posts.

are you celebrating with Gluehwein or do you treat yourself with a pair of new shoes?

Neither. I don't drink alcohol bc I'm muslim. Instead I will be celebrating in true TP fashion - with a day trip to Dresden on Saturday. I've got it all planned out already: I'll be getting up at 4 am and will be using Laenderticket, 5 hours by local train down south, then cycling for the day along the Elbe River, hike up to the Festung Königsstein and the Bastei and then be back at midnight. (I only hope that keeping the Ramadan fast and bike travel don't clash too badly.) Yeah, I know I'm mental for doing this!
