Hi all experienced travallers!
We are flying from Kuala Lumpur to Phnom Penh in December. W have 5 days in Kuala Lumpur before taking this flight, can we get our visa for Cambodia before we leave KL or can we get one as we enter the Cambodian airport after arriving there by plane? Which is best?
Also after this (on 22nd December) we are going to travel in Thailand by bus/train from cambodia, how do we sort out our visas during this time for Thailand? Is there somewhere we can buy a thai visa in cambodia or even Kuala Lumpur again back in the beginning of December?
Sorry if this is confusing!! Thanks for your help!!
I think you can get Thai visa in KL.
Just go to the embassy in KL at Jalan Ampang. Quite near to French, UK, China, Russian & Spanish Embassies.
For Cambodian visa, you can either get it from the airport or border upon arrival (see requirements), or apply online here.
Take note of the airport departure tax of USD25 if you're leaving by plane.
Anyway, just in case you need it, here's the address of the Cambodian Embassy in KL. It is somewhere around the U.S. Embassy.
Embassy of Cambodia in Kuala Lumpur

About the Thai visa, how long do you plan to stay there? If you are not going to stay for more than 30 days in a row at any one time, you can just show up at the entry point and you'll be given a 30-day social visit pass. You must have a return ticket with you though. Check out the stickied Thai Visa FAQ thread for more information.
