If I was AT&T or O2 I'd offer the phone free of charge. That way you'd increase your customer base significantly. Tweak a few call rates, and you'd make up for the lost revenue.

If they do that now they'll really anger a few people. Apple announced about 10 days ago that they were dropping the price with 200USD from the original 600 or so. Man, people went ballistic! Apple had to quickly offer early adopters a 100 dollar voucher for Apple stores to somewhat ease the pain (most likely this will convert to a nice imac in 50% of the cases so I'm not sure Apple loses out on that deal!).

Like Mike pointed out, it will probably happen in the future but at the moment it's the best selling smart phone out there with estimates that they'll get 10 million of them sold by the end of 08. No reason for Apple to start giving them away just yet. And I think O2 and AT&T are not making that much extra money on them to afford that - Apple has the upperhand in negotiations around this just now.

Now there is already a clone of the Iphone on the Chinese market, reading an article on it, it had more funstions and a better batter life (seems Apple are still doing their integrated battery bit).
But have a look at iPhone review for a detailed review - it's not as good as the hype

I am sure it will be along soon.
The iphone, in Norway, I mean.

But seriously speaking and iphone issues aside, u should think about moving to the US or the UK Sam.
They are much safer than Norway, because they have lots and lots of war weapons.;)

Not that it's really relevant, but those weapons are often sold to them by Norway. Which is worse; buyer or producer? Semantics in my opinion; we live in a messed up world, pretty much whatever country it is. Or beautiful, regardless of which country you live in if you're a 'glass half full' type of person - which I am, really, if only that iPhone came over :)

Patience, Sam, patience. The iPhone will get there. Until that time, maybe you should go fishing and enjoy the beauty of the lakes and streams in Norway. I think I hear a salmon calling your name... Ooohhh, I do.. It's saying "Sam, I'm really fat and juicy!! I'd make a great dinner. Come and catch me, if you can!"

In the meantime, can we offer you this nice new (thinner) Razr in hot pink???

Oh boy, did you have to bring up my other big want in life; catching a salmon....

Sam you could come on a trip to UK and pick one up - you may not be able to use it in Norway when you get home (or pay extorionate roaming fees!) but at least you can look at it lovingly and stroke it whilst thinking of your salmon!!
