Well, need I say more? We've just launched the ability to upload multiple photos in one go. It all seems to be working smoothly and looks pretty slick too

Read the extended blog post

or

Jump right in and upload away

Amongst others, you can now also map the photos in one go when uploading (multiple at one time too). Special thanks to Dmitry for a lot of the grunt work on this one! I know I'll be using this feature a LOT

Tried on both IE7 and FF2. Works fine on FF2, but not on IE7. CSS issue?

Hmm, I assume it was tested on IE7, but looks like a file might have been missed when uploading or something (it kind of went live by accident because Peter uploaded a bunch of files to the live server instead of the testing server :) ). Hey, that's the benefit of having BETA on it, right?!

What are people doing using IE anyway? It's down to 60% of our totals and falling (was 95% just a couple of years ago). FF now makes up an amazing 31% of our visitors!

Anyway, seeing as I wasn't involved in the development of this, I'm not going to upload anything for fear of breaking it. Peter or Dmitry will have to tackle this when they wake up - sorry

I haven't touched it!! Hien borrowed my crowbar yesterday and hasn't returned it yet. Just wanted that on the record.

I don't know what language Hien is speaking there, but I just gave it a go as a test and couldn't get it to work.

I'm very excited about this though! Thank you for your effort!

It has been tested in IE7, although it is of course possible that something doesn't quite work.

The main consideration though is that it requires you to have flash 8+ installed! I think this is more likely why it's not working for you Marlis, because the fall back for not having flash is that it will show a single file upload.

To install the latest version of flash (currently v9), go here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/

If that doesn't work for you, please let me know the exact details of your browser (version, etc.).

It should work in the following browsers, so long as Flash 8+ is installed: Internet Explorer 6+, Opera 9, Firefox 1.5+ and Safari 2+

It was missing when I went to pick it up. Someone else must have taken it before me. You know you should have kept it in a safer place. Anyway, I saw marlis on my way there.

It's some top secret TP language.

Peter, latest Flash has been installed. Same result. :(

I tested on IE6 & IE7 on XP and IE7 on Vista. All reported the same errors.

Error #1
Line: 106
Char: 5
Error: Expected identifier, string or number

Error #2
Line: 5
Char: 3
Error: 'FancyUpload' is undefined

I'm looking at photoupload.js

Is this correct?

var uplooad = new FancyUpload(input, {
swf: 'jscripts/Swiff.Uploader.swf',

I notice that Swiff.Uploader.swf is not in my browser cache.
Will it solve the problem if it's declared as '/jscripts/Swiff.Uploader.swf' ?
