just wondering: did you ever manage to book your trip?
We'll be leaving for the Masaai Mara on Sept. 2nd to watch and photograph the migration, amongst other things offcourse, maybe we stumble into each other.
We are doing a solo trip, booked a lodge and landcruiser (incl. driver) so we're set to go!
I believe September is the best time to see the wild beast migration and also big five and other animals. The grass and other vegetation are very short after the wild beast eating them thus making it easy to spot the animals.lake Naivasha is NOT a national park, there are no animals except the hippos but is very wonderful for the bird lovers because there are many species birds but you need to boot ride to birds paradise island for a maximum enjoyment. But if you are interested in both animals and birds i can advice you to go to lake nakuru instead. In Tanzania,Ngorongoro is among the best., Serengeti is very cross to masai mara because they are in the same ecosystem but worthy visiting.there are other parks like lake manyara, tarangire etc,but visiting all these will highly depend on your time schedule.i've sent your a private message just in case you need further advice. All the best.
