This is still hearsay - what we need is someone who has ACTUALLY been turned away.................
I believe what my brother said he had seen.
I have heard that airports are even more strict an if you are entering Thailand for a 30 day period you need to show evidence of an onward flight, if you don't you aren't let into the country and put back on a plane to where you just came from (it happened to my friend in February).

I think there's at least one more member who had been turned away.
There were a number of people who wanted to do hair braiding and other types of street trading on the Khao San Road. They were denied entry, or so I am told. I think they did not have the money requirement, to enter Thailand, and were hoping to earn a living selling their services, on the Khao San Road.
believing something yoyur brother has seen puts you 4 people away from the action....this is hearsay - actual personal experience coherently related has much more value.
I entered Thailand with no hair! no onward ticket! and no visa, all the 'no's' in this post only give one answer...... There is NO problem!
Get either a visa on arival or in advance and no problem
I have been denied boarding AirAsia's flight bound to Bangkok from Singapore... I had onward ticket(the onward flight had to leave after 3 hours I reach Bangkok)...
AirAsia's personnel said that it is a point-to-point airline and it can not accomodate transit passengers and blah blah... and as I dont have Thai visa, i can not board the plane...
and hair... no matter where or how or what..... NO issue watsoever...
immigration officers in thailand r very friendly, dont worry about ur hair, i will be travellinv to koh samui in october 11th, if you wish we can meet over there.
