Actually kruzinkiwi and watchdog55 (and quite a few others I suspect) are a good reason why the whole title thing is high up on the to do list to look at changing next. Since the number of each member group is limited, it's quite a lot harder these days to get up there when there now that are many more users on the site than when the title system first was launched.

Be scared, be very scared

How dare you call me watchdog55!!! Thats outragous! If I have to put up with being a cute lil budding member then you can at least call me by my kool unique name!!!!!
I'm not scared I'm a black belt!
If a bribe like chocolate works has any one tried a threat?!?!?

We should change Budding member! Let's vote!
I say yes! Maybe exploding dynamic member!!

At my forum, new members have the title "Cute little baby member".
Seriously. :)

(I wonder why I have so few members?)

I think u should talk more about travel, than about these titles.
Or at least entertain us with jokes and stories.

It kinda doesnt make sence anyhow cause some of the budding members here have probably travelled more and have more experience and knowledge than the gurus, respected, full, and admin.

The titles are meant to be reflective of a member's participation on our site, not their travel experience. The latter would be impossible to quantify since you could just make up that you've been to hundreds of countries and there is no way of verifying it...

If somebody lied about having been to a country and then tried to give advise about it, would anybody give them a rating for their advise. Not to mention, how many people would tell them they are talking nonsense. I think, how much a person is actually able to contribute to this site has a lot to do with how much they have travelled. :)

Does "Cute member" come after "Cute little baby member" and what's the criteria for "Just another addict"? Those are good titles, Sander!

Heh, no, "cute member" was a one time exception there, for someone who was sad to lose the "cute" part. Mostly it's all regular members. There is a secret "addict" rank (which no one has ever attained yet; the place never became as active as I hoped it would), and so my own title (when I'm not acting as an administrator/janitor) is "just another addict", the better to blend in with the (non-existing) crowd. *g*
