I just like to post a few questions about Tibet. Which is the shortest journey to Tibet from China and how long does it takes? Is it Beijing or Shanghai? Is there any electrical supply in Tibet for charging mobiles or camcorders? Thank you.
Hi, I went to Lhasa for a business trip this April. I flied to Chengdu first and then changed a flight to Lhasa from there. But it`s also fine that you take direct flight from either Beijing or Shanghai. Either way is convenient but costs a few hours because Lhasa is just so far away from the other cities.
Don`t worry about electricity supply if you are in the city. I saw pupils chat with their friends via mobilephone when I was in Lhasa. I have to say that it`s not a real "romoted" place any longer.

Thank you Zhou for the information but I was thinking probably it would be interesting to go to Tibet by train even though it would be faster to reach there by air. However, I also heard that the train tickets are difficult to get because they are always sold out. Anyway, I will take note of your information.
I have also heard that the safest way is via train. Just because planes crash so much!!
