The Iranian president claims, that there are no homosexuals in Iran. Of course there are, like everyplace else. Anyway, here is a link about homosexuality in Iran, for anybody who may be interested in reading it.

U dont have to be inclined to things, to be interested, Arif.
But I presume u just want to take this opportunity to let the girls of TP know that u are not homosexually inclined.

This is the same guy who said that the Holocaust didn't take place . . . .

Iran is not alone in it's denial of homosexuality. In Iran, the penalties range from lashes (for children/women) to inprisonment and possible execution (for men). In Mauritania and Saudi Arabia, they bypass the whole lashes/inprisonment thing. Instead, they lead you straight to the executioner (no pun intended). I can't imagine too many Mauritanians or Saudis waving the rainbow flag or declaring themselves "Friends of Dorothy". Death is also included as a possible punishment in Nigeria, Somalia, Sudan, UA Emirates and Yemen. There are approximately 70 countries where homosexuality is illegal. Many of them impose very stiff punishments for the "crime".

What I find interesting is, though it still exists, there is less stigma attached to transgender than homosexuality.

Maybe homosexuality doesn't exist in Iran while the president is out of the country
