Hi everyone,
Basically, what is the not necessarily easiest but cheapest way to get to Egypt?

I know this is a broad question but anyone who has done it before might be able to give me some advice.
Luke :)

Hello Lukep:)

My guess would be flying, if u find a budget flight.
Even though it is the fastest and most convenient way to travel, it is also often the cheapest.
If u are going in January, buy your ticket now, to have more chance of getting a bargain price.

Almost certainly flying. Thomson fly Manchester-Sharm El Sheikh from £60 inc. tax! Many other flights from £100 each way.

Flying - Cologne-Cairo is currently 70 EUR one-way with Tuifly on Dec 31st and 90 EUR on 21st and 28th January. But book your flights fast!

BTW, getting back to Cologne overland by bus should cost about 200-300 EUR. :-)

Or fly with Tuifly from Tel Aviv for 90 EUR to Germany or the UK. Other cheap flights leave from Turkey. See

Talk to a travel agency. These dates are too specific for bargain flights. Expect to pay up to 400 EUR regular price. Alternatively look for discounted last-minute charter flights. These will become available in early December. Price for this will be 190-300 EUR.

Problem solved! Found some flights return for a week from Brussels to Cairo with Jetairfly, for 289E.

Cheers for the help!
