I'm going to asia for the first time, and our journey starts in bangkok. And if all goes according to plan we will end up in singapore.
but october is the last month of the rain season, so how is rain season anyway? does it rain 24/7, and where can we go to get the best experience for our trip?
we want to experience the culture, and if anyone could recommend any diving spots that would be great;D

Hello Shooheii:)

I was in Thailand, last June, during the rainy season.
It certainly does not rain all the time.
The expression rainy season sure makes it sound a lot worse than it is.
Most of the rain falls at night. Sometimes there are a few hours of it, during the day, but not everyday.
If u are planning to go to the islands, beware that the boats sometimes dont go if the sea is too rough, which it sometimes is, during the rainy season.

Hi Shoohei,

I'm currently in SEA and the weather is OK. It rains a bit at the end of the afternoon but, otherwise, it's sunny and hot!
Some of the main cultural highlights of Thailand are in Bangkok,Chiang Mai, Ayutaya, Sukhothai.
There is good dicing in Kho Phagan and Koh Phi Phi in Thailand and, in Malaysia, off Pulau Tioman and teh Perenthian Islands.
Hope this helps!

October should still be fine for the Malaysian East Coast islands. THe islands in the East Coast will be closed during Monsoon Season.

Was in Thailand in Oct last year and the rainy season was a downpoor for an hr or two but it really wasn't a problem. More dive spots would be Koh Tao Thailand and if your going as far as Borneo Malaysia some of the Islands around Semporna are fairly well known spots.
