Hi was just wondering if anyone can give me any information regarding visas for irish citizens for china and india. If i go to the embassies does it speed up the process? Need visas for these urgently and have left it to the very LAST minute! (Well last minute trip...if i can get my visas!)
Thanks for your help.
I dont think there is an if about it. I think u have to apply through the embassies.
But that is not too bad. Getting visas for India and China is relatively straight forward.
U will find the visa form and the list of requirements, on the internet. Then u just send them to the consulate, and it generally takes less than a week for each to be issued. If u cant find the forms on the internet, then the consulates will fax them or maybe they can now email them, to u.
But how last minute is this trip? Maybe the consulates have an express visa service, and can issue the visas faster for an extra fee. If u are going within the next 2 weeks, then the best thing to do would be to phone and ask if they have and express service and if u can take your passport to them in person and collect it.
