It seems that there are less travel gurus compared to earlier this year by the way. I noticed there are 19 right now, but I remember there were over 20 before. Probably you need to keep contribute to the site, wether it being posts or photos, blogs or contributions to the travelguide. Even over 5000 posts does not mean you will be a travelguru for life;)

Travel Gurus can lose their status if they stop contributing.

I'm sure Clarabell was a Travel Guru at one point then had to stay off the site cos she was studying pretty hard.

In a way, yes. And this applies to Respected Members as well. Full Members, on the other hand, will not turn back to Budding Members. So, no worries there, mikeyBoab.
