Oh my god... my gf is arriving here in Bangkok tomorrow and I haven't arrange the accomodation in Koh Tao yet....

What should I do? Someone told me that is better to do it over there on the place.

What we look for is a place not too crowded, mid-range (up to 30 euros per night, or 45 us dollars), not basic obviously (my gf is not used to this travellers kind of life...), and a nice location to relax and chill-out. I dive but that's not priority... jeje... I'll manage to dive anyway, but it's more important the other things.

All suggestions about locations, resorts and guesthouses are very well much appreciated! How much I am expected to pay in this low-season moonsoned time of the year??

Thanks so much!

hey, i went koh tao in july and i didnt book my accomidation! when you go over to the island there are hundards off taxi's asking if you have accomidation! and if not they will take you to a place! but dont trust them because they could take you to a place about 10 min drive from the centre! you can get a beach bungalow for about £3-5 pounds a night which is located in the centre also you might be able to get a cheap deal with one of the local dive centre's if you are plaining on diving! when i went that's what i did and it included my accomidation! also if you are looking to stay in koh tao for a long time then some places off this!

hope this helps!:)

When you get off the boat in Koh Tao, just head for Sairee beach. Take a walk along the beach and jump in one of the bungalow resorts. There are loads within the budget you are looking at.
