I'm starting to get worried!
Am i going to need a return flight booked to show immigration when i arrive in oz?
We have a one way ticket and was planning on buying my homeward bound ticket about 6 months into our trip!
I'm really hoping this isnt required as my funds are going to take a huge dent if i need to buy one!
the requirement for proof of onward travel is generally waived for WHVs - you are just supposed to be able to prove you have sufficient funds to purchase a return flight. its only on a tourist visa that you must have a ticket out of the country. i know this was the case for NZ and I'm 99% sure its the same for Oz.
Just backing up what Bex said.
You definitely dont need proof of an onward flight. I just returned from NZ where I spent most of the last year working. When I arrived at immigration, I didnt even have proof of funds and it was cool That said, I'd have a print off of your WHV (if its electronic and not in your passport) along with a recent bank statement - just to put your mind at rest or in case you get a fastidious immigration official.
