Hiya everyone, does anyone know if there is such a thing as a work permit for Australia? Im trying to figure out if I can go to Australia and work, besides having a WHV, used this option a long time ago.

Many Thanks, Carli

There are a variety of work visas, but you either need to be sponsored by a company, or have a skill that's listed on the list of skills that are "in demand". Start exploring from here.

As an alternative, I can highly recommend the New Zealand WHV (assuming you haven't done that yet), and of course, if on your first WHV you did three months or more of "seasonal work" (fruit picking e.a.), you're eligible for a second WHV. (You'd just need to be able to prove it somehow.)

There is something called a Business Visa that you apply for in the same way as you apply for a visitor's visa but instead of clicking tourist to click business - it only lasts for 3 months but you can work on it and maybe try and get sponsored in that time, you can also leave and go back for another 3 months (maybe to NZ or Fiji). Obviously there is a limit to the amount of times you can do this. It's designed for people who are hoping to get sponsored and have already got a company willing so they may ask for details of this company.
