I'll be heading over to London from Amsterdam at the end of the year (Dec 30th). What is the best way to get between the two cities? Train/ferry or by plane? Any idea of costs? I need to make it over to London for New Year's. Thanks so much for all your help!
http://www.skyscanner.net lists a very large number of flights for the day, see for yourself. Seat61.com has the lay-down on doing it by rail/ferry and finally there is bus http://www.nationalexpress.com
If you book a special offer bus should be cheapest, but slowest and least comfortable. Most comfortable would be the Eurostar-Train connection, which is likely to be the most expensive method of travel.

easyjet im sure you wont find any cheaper for about 33 euros
Another option, that doesn't show up so much is a dutch Airline called VLM Airlines. The big advantage is that they fly to London City Airport, which is in (or near) Docklands. You can step right into the Tube, and be in the center in 30 minutes.
