I'm going to be over in NYC in December this year and as i'll be on my own it might be fun to meet up with a few others and wonder around Just for your info, i'm male, from the UK and in my early 20's.
Someone local would be cool as well as you're more likely to know where you're going!
Let me know if you'd be interested in meeting up.
Few points..NY by December is a nice time to see witness celebs and lots of fun...was in Times square for New year
in 2005...i remember i started @ grand central by 2PM(31-Dec) and reached the times square venue by 10 PM..Lots of
fun and amazing crowd enroute to venue..but u need to have proper clothing to withstand freezing cold..witness samba dance to hip hop enroute....but at the end it is worth and u have to live the moment..
I live about 20 minutes from manhattan, nyc... remember to dress warmly, as it can be very windy there in December... and quite chilly. I probably can't come out and hang with you as I will be spending all my time with my family on my college break, but if you'd like some pointers about the city, I'm glad to be of help! Greenwich Village can be a great place to visit, as well as Times Square of course. What types of places are you hoping to visit?
Well the plan so far looks something like this...
- Arrive mid afternoon sometime, check-in to hotel around 4
- Wonder around a bit, and go over to times square
- Grand Central at a busy time!
- UN building (i probably won't do the tour though)
- South Manhattan (Wall Street, Ground Zero, Brooklyn Bridge, etc...)
- Maybe go over the B&H(!)
- Central Park
- Basketball at MSG
- Hockey at MSG
- Free morning for exploring places
- Leave sometime after lunch
These are weather dependant and can be done any time:
- TOTR (during the day)
- Empire State (at night)
- Helicopter trip
The question is though... what do i do on Sunday!? and what should i do in the evenings? Going to a gig would be cool, but i can't find anything that interests me!
now you have come to mention it ...do they run the helicopter rides during that time of year - i shall be in NY in mid january and was hoping to take the trip myself...
im guessing its weather permitting?
