Hey,

Going to Broome in a couple weeks for 4 days. Have accomodation sorted out, but not sure what there is to do there. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. I am on a budget, but don't mind spending money if there is something that is worthwhile seeing. Also is everything close, do you need transport etc???
Cheers

Broome is a great place to just chill out and spend some downtime on the beach. The scenery is really nice and the people there are laidback and friendly. Lots of Broome's attractions are natural attractions (the pearling history, Staircase to the Moon etc), but if you're looking for something more active there's a range of 4WD safaris. There's also a place on Cable Beach where you can apparantly see dinosaur footprints!

I was a big fan of the open air cinema. It's really cool and you should definitely watch a movie there.

Hey, I had 3 days in Broome last month and loved it. It was a great place to relax. Beautiful beaches and hot weather. As for other things to do-theres some day trips you can go on-you might want to check out the Broome visitor centre online as I found that when I got there most of the tours were already booked up! A camel ride at sunset on cable beach is also a good thing to do, the sunsets there are amazing-there is a really nice bar on cable beach where u can sit and have a drink watching the sun go down. I also went out to a pearl farm whilst there-this was pretty interesting.

If you go on any trips-prepare for bumpy rides on unsealed roads!! Also be aware that Broome itself is very small-its nearest major city is Singapore-food can be a little pricey. There is a bus that goes between cable beach and the town-not sure where u r planning on staying-i seem to remember its the same price on the bus regardless of where you are going so u can always jump on and do the whole bus circuit-wont take long to get an idea of what there is. Its a small place!!

Hope that helps

Hels
