we are a group of 4, planning to visit Oz next year June for 2 weeks. Here is our plan...We are going to start from Gold Coast, and rent a car, travel all the way down to Melbourne.
we went to some web sites, the per day car rental is AUD60 (35 car rental +25 insurance). Wondering if this is a premium price or this is a market rate?
The idea of Campervan crosses our mind, too. However, we couldn't find a car rental company that rents campervans. any suggestion?
Sounds like a great trip.
You can definitely find which car rental supplier if offering the best rates at oodles.com.
The prices range from $30 per day for an economy vehicle (Toyota Yaris Hatch Or Similar) it does fit 4 people but considering you'll have baggage etc might be too cramped. For larger vehicles (Toyota Aurion Presara) range from $60+ per day.
Mini buses from $80+ per day. Prices do vary due to the Supply/Demand of rental vehicles in certain areas.
- You might be able to find rentals with one way fees which is cheaper in most cases, though these are very rare.
The reason for this is that suppliers may end up with an over supply of vehicles in one location so give certain vehicles a one way fee to a specific location.
You can definitely take a look at wickedcampers.com.au for campervans, they have some great looking camper vans.
