We are currently in Brisbane and arriving in Sydney on 27th Oct, there are 4 of us looking for an apartment until Jan, has anyone got any ideas on good ways of finding bargains for short term lets?
also we will be staying in a hostel for the first few days so would you say central was better or somewhere like Bondi?
any tips will help, cheers xx
take a look on sydney.gumtree.com.au, they have lotsa flat listings, often with traveller-oriented short-term accommodation
there's a place called travellers contact point - think its near dymocks book store on george street - which advertises apartments/accommodation for travellers. also try the TNT magazine and hostel noticeboards.
re hostel - i prefer staying right in the centre - although bondi is nice it's a bus journey away from the centre and therefore many of the things to see and do. i stayed at base backpackers which was fine and in a really good location right in the centre.
Check out the furnished property group they rent share houses in sydney. we stayed in thurlow st, surry hills. good house. would reccommend them highly. Takes alot of the hassle out of lookin for a place.
