Just wondering, are there many Scandinavian TPs around?

2. Posted by Gelli (Travel Guru 2457 posts) 12y

One of the reasons I`m asking for other scandinavians TPs are that I think I`ll go on a road trip sometime soon, just driving from Norway, to Stockholm at first, and then on to Århus in Denmark before returning home, or continuing further down in Europe. And when I`m on my road trip, it would be cool to either meet up with someone, or get some good tips on where to stay, what do to, and so on.

Cheers from the land of the midnight sun, vikings and the worlds worst football manager.

Have fun!

Jag ar svensk - but have been living in London for about 4 years. So won't be around when you're on your road trip Tolemak, but of course I'm willing to give you some good tips about Sweden... If you have any questions about anything let me know.
Trevlig resa!

Hey Tolemak,

Not going to type my 'broken norwegian' as it's pretty terrible :) But like Gelli says, I am in Oslo although I am not Norwegian, just by marriage.

When the going gets dark this winter we should plan a Scandinavian TP meeting actually. Never a better reason to take an ol

Whereabouts in Norway are you living?

Sam - I disagree slightly (ignoring the fact you don't need reason for öl), but to me the end of the s0dding mozzie season is much relevant to celebrate. I get eaten alive every year by them!

Tolemak - Agree that Stockholm is wonderful, and Århus is a great little city as well. I love it there.

I can probably give you some ideas/suggestions when you get down the Southern end into Skåne, and also around Kobenhavn, if thats any good. Happy to meet up as well if you happen to pass though on the odd occassions i'm here and free.

Btw, I liked Egil - more character than most managers anyway, even if his sides were, um, one dimensional

Interestingly enough, I've never had a problem with the mozzies in Norway. Probably just has to do with the areas I hang out as I know it is a lot worse in other places....

I am always up for a meetup somewhere.... I'll be in Copenhagen the last weekend of August if anyone is near there and in the mood for a beer!

Otherwise, Oslo is my stomping ground.... especially Gronnerlokka (don't have a scandinavian keyboard so stick away from the strange letters... )

Well me and Sam agree at one point, there is always a reason to drink beer. Sounds cool with a TP meetup, have you given any thought for where we might have it?
I currently live in Stavanger, city of many festivals during the summer, so there have been lots of good reasons for beer.

Enjoy the Oya festival.

No Oya festival for me this year.... went there last year and it's a good time but this year the plans didn't work out (cabin trip this weekend :) ).

A scandinavian meetup.... I'd say Oslo, but on the other hand, having never been to Stockholm, maybe that would be a great location. Or else
Copenhagen as it's pretty easy access from the three countries....

Any suggestions?
