Travel Forums Asia Visa in Camboja border to Thailand ?? HELP!!!

Hi there,

I'm travelling in December and January to SEA - Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Camboja.

I have a flight in and out of Bangkok, and I'm planning to, after 1 month in Thailand, fly from Kuala Lumpur to Hanoi, go all the way down to Ho Chi Min, enter Camboja, travel to Seam Reap and back in Thailand overland, through Poipet border.

I'll have a 30 day visa on arrival in Bangkok, and as I was informed I can get another visa after leaving the country and back again. Now I found this information on a site: " Nationalities entitled to visa-on-arrival facilities should note that visas are not available on arrival when entering Thailand overland from Cambodia, and should either obtain a visa in advance or else enter by air (there are visa-on-arrival facilities at all Thai international airports)"...

Is this correct? can't I get the visa entering through Poipet??? I hope this not true, I don't want to fly to Bangkok...

Also, any recommendation about Vietname and Camboja? What to see, where to go, where to sleep...
I'm travelling by my own so every detail will be appreciated..

Hi Kaypt,

Don't worry. I travelled from Siem reap to Bangkok last month and didn't have any problem to get a visa at the border and it was my second entry in Thailand too.

I think it should be fine - the Poipet border is a common place to cross so lots of people must do it this way.
