I've been trying to find a way to travel from Nova Scotia to Nunavut, I found a website that offered flights, but at the moment I forget what the site was, but whenever I entered a date it couldn't find anything. So I was wondering if anybody knows, where I could find a flight from Halifax International Airport to anywheres in Nunavut (preferably Iqaluit), or some other way there, such as bus, etc.
Thanks in advanced
Other ways of getting to Nunavut are non existent, although some expensive adventurous cruiseships might go there.
North of Nova Scotia you can travel to Labrador by car and all the way north by boat to the outports of Labrador. Maybe if you have time and patience (and probably money) you might be able to find a ship that travels even further north in summer only.
For more information check the Nunavut travelguide: Nunavut
Maybe you can find more information over here as well.
Canadiannorth is one of the airlines which serves lots of places in Nunavut, including Iqaluit.
Montreal would be the closest airport that would provide service up to Iqaluit. As Utrecht points out, there is some information in the destination guide on airlines that make that trek - First Air is the one that operates out of Montreal.
According to their website, they fly Montreal - Iqaluit on 3 times a week (Mon, Wed, Fri) leaving at 10 Am and arriving at 2:16 pm (flight 866).
- By dogsled from Yellowknife...
