I was born in Honiara, Solomon Islands. My father's side of the family comes from a small town in the Netherlands called Loosdrecht. My mother's side is from Texas, USA. I now live in Melbourne, Australia.
When people ask me where I'm from while I'm travelling, I say Australia. When they ask me where I'm from when I'm in Australia, I say I'm half Dutch, half American.

Icelandic's got the toughest pronounciation amongst all the Nordic languages to me. Finnish is the easiest.
