Hey...

About Syria... What's the status on the drinking water? Can you drink it? Brush your teeth with it?

What about Visa? In Denmark we have no Syrian embassy or so - Then I should be able to get it at arrival - in theory at least! But does that work?

Hope you can help!

Thanks

you can get a visa on the border if there is no syrian consulate or embassy in your country. Confirm this on the website mentioned above though in case anything has changed. Alternatively you could apply at one of the embassies in Europe - London for example. Mine only took a few days to arrive.

I cleaned my teeth with the water but didn't drink it - I think its best to stick to bottled water.

Enjoy Syria - it's awesome!

The water probably won't kill you, but it's definitely safer to stick to bottled water and its cheap.

If you are flying into Syria, your best option is to fly with MALEV Hungarian Airlines from Hamburg or Berlin. If you are going via Berlin (great city btw) it won't be too much trouble to pick up your visa at the Syrian embassy in Berlin.

Write an email to visa(at)syrianembassy.de to enquire about formalities.
