One of my friends used to keep a pig as a pet. It was enormous! And surprisingly friendy. Personally I've only ever had goldfish, hamsters and cats, not very exotic. What's the strangest pet you've ever had?

I had a budgie who liked to be pet.

Neal claims he knew a boy in Belfast who had a puma, but I don't know...

Over the years I/we have had a few different pets - not necessarily strange or exotic, but out of the ordinary. So, not counting the cats or dogs, and in no particular order...

Canary, rooster, 5 rabbits, 2 horses, goat, pig, 2 garter snakes, 5 hermit crabs, 3 turtles, 3 hens, 2 roosters (different than 1st rooster), discus (fish), salt water fish (assorted variety), and I know there have been a couple other odd ones along the way.

Beerman has had a saltwater lobster (named Betty Lou) and a boa. He'll have to reply to any others he has had and/or I have missed.

I had crickets in a house I made of Lego when I was younger. They turn canibalistic after a while, it was quiet grusome from memory :/

Have also had a turtle, fresh water crayfish, and a blue ringed octopus till I found out they were protected, oops, oh, and a breeding colony of Mantis shrimp in my SW fishtank, not intentionally, those guys are pure evil, google to see why!!!
