Hi,

Off to South America for all of December.

Starting off with Inca Trek - anyone with advice with what kind of shoes are suitable for the hike/trek?

Then off to Galapagos Islands for a cruise.

After that going into Brazil but not sure what to do. Looking at either Pantanal (Bonito) or Amazon from Manaus. Anyones advice appreciated. Thanks.

Urilla

It really depends on what you want to get out of it, also how far you want to travel/how much time you have. It's quite a trip up to Manaus, you'd have to fly if you don't have long but if you are getting there from Ecuador it's closer than the pantanal...

Check out this thread for more Pantanal info clicky clickey

there are also various threads about the Amazon, do a search in the central/south America forum (this one) and you should find some useful stuff,

let me know if you need any more info, I'd be happy to help,
happy planning!

Well!!! I would really reccomend you amazon in Manaus it is really nice. I have been there couple of years ago,you can even swiming with pink and gray dolphings it is marvelous. Pantanal it is more like savana not a real jungle , i have been there also but did not like it!!!

Have a nice trip.
