I've just started planning what holiday i can take from work next year, i'm thinking a cheap week somewhere in April then 2 weeks in Malaysia in August or Oct/Nov 2008. I know it won't be possible to do all Malaysia in 2 weeks but I hope to get a good feel of the place and spend some time relaxing as well.
Has anyone got any itinerary ideas? Planning to do something similar at a similar time and fancy doing some planning together?
I should be in Malaysia around August/September time - not sure of the exact date yet as I will be coming from Bali. I have a fairly good guide book on Malaysia which gives examples of routes to take depending on how much time the reader has available. If this would be of any help I could post the 2 week route.
What guide book are you using? If you could give me an idea of the 2 week itinerary that would be great, or even 3 weeks if I can blag that long off work.
Is Malaysia part of a RTW trip for you? How long you away for in total?
in agout i have 2-3 weeks..and i'm planning to go somewhere and find some friend to share budget...
At the moment i was thinking USA or Malaysia...
What is your plain about Malaysia?

hi cat! malaysia is a great place to go especially if you enjoy hot weather and good food. you want to consider heading towards the east coast of malaysia where you can find beautiful islands such as perhentian, redang and many more. You can click on this link to learn more of the beautiful islands around malaysia http://www.myoutdoor.com/
i will be heading towards perhentian island on aug 1 - 3 with some friends.
besides that, food is good! if you are adventurous then you will be able to find variety from Chinese, Malay, Indian and many more. one of the website you can check out is http://www.malaysianfood.net/
of cos, besides that there are a lot more things that you can see and explore for yourself. Some of the recommended places to go besides the islands, would be Kuala Lumpur (shopping), Penang (food), Kota Kinabalu (nature), Melaka (history) and so on so forth.
guide books are great but i feel that things change quite fast especially in a country like malaysia so maybe you can try the internet.
if you need anymore information, i would be glad to share with you anything that i know.
have a good trip.
