Good Day,

I am having a hard time deciding if I want to spend the months of May and June 2008 in Thailand or New Zealand.

So..... I am asking here

Which place would you choose and why?

Thanks oodles!

Wow, what an interesting thing, 49 views and not one response. :(

I would have thought the kind sharing people of this place would have been happy to offer an opinion.

Perhaps I have posted this in the wrong place.

Okay I-Travel,

I'd go to Thailand for the food and diving.

Now could you please tell me in what way did that help?

Flynn ;)

Thank you Flynn, for your time and effort.

Do you not get the opinions of others before you make a choice?
Is not more information better then no information?

i think the lack of response is probably because it's quite a broad question and the 2 places are entirely different so it's hard to compare one with the other.

I have been to both places and loved them; bear in mind though that May and June in New Zealand will be cold in places as it's the start of winter, and in Thailand it is the start of the monsoon season so will be very wet. Having said this, neither of those reasons should stop you going - i travelled round NZ in the winter and it was beautiful and it was lovely that the place was not overrunn with tourists as it would be in the summer. if you go to Thailand at this time be aware that some islands will not be accessible due to rough seas.

Hope this helps a little. :)

bex76. :) Thank you for your time.

I wandered Ireland for May and June of 2007. It was wet, cold and windy at times..such things don't bother me much.

I understand it is a difficult question...that would be the reason I am having trouble deciding. I am not asking anyone to take responsibility for my choice. I just thought more people would want to offer their opinion. :)

New Zealand is very pretty in the winter too with all the snow capped mountains so that's another plus :)

Indeed, having spend a better part of my life in Colorado, USA, I have an attraction to snow capped mountains.

Thank you

Well, I did not reply because I have not been to New Zealand.
I have been told more than once that I am expected to give information packed posts instead of whatever kind I do when I am not giving information. I was one of those 49 people who viewed your thead but said nothing to avoid talking too much. But here is what I have to say, even if it is just my opinion and does not give any information.;)

I would go to New Zealand if money is no object, because I have already been to Thailand 3 times.
I love the variety of visiting different countries and trying new ones.

Well said Mel!!

Was your reasoning for going to Thailand 3 times instead of New Zealandl because of money? Or was there another reason for going not having gone to NZ yet?

Thanks!
